XMONDO Color is closest to a semi permanent color, combined with a healing hair treatment. It is a deposit only color, free of harsh chemicals, ammonia, and peroxide. It will not lighten your existing color, only add pigment on top of the hair strand. XMONDO Color will fade with washing and will not cause any damage to your hair. It contains bond builders, proteins and oils to help nourish and repair your hair as you color it.

Although XMONDO Color is free of harsh chemicals, we do recommend consulting with a physician prior to use because everyone has different health histories, sensitivities and allergies. We also recommend doing a patch/strand test prior to full head application to ensure you do not have any reactions/irritation. We offer our full list of ingredients on our website so you can review it with your physician. If irritation should occur, seek medical attention immediately. This product should not be used on eyebrows or eyelashes.

Our color is formulated so it can be applied directly to prelightened hair without needing a toner. We do not recommend pre-toning your hair as toner deposits color and coats the cuticle, which can lead to unpredictable or inconsistent results. If you are used to pre-toning your hair prior to using a vibrant color, we recommend using a purple shampoo, like Supernova, to help neutralize excess warmth.

Grey hair often tends to be resistant, which means it has a compact cuticle. Because semi permanent color only lives on the outside of the cuticle, result may not last as long. If you are looking for a more vibrant color with longer lasting results, we recommend pre lightening your hair.

You also should use a color protecting shampoo and conditioner such as Polychrome Color Extending Shampoo and Conditioner. Avoid sun exposure and salt water. XMONDO Color is a hair treatment and is safe to use as often as you would like.

If you are looking to change your shade without using bleach, we recommend using a clarifying shampoo, such as Project X Detox Shampoo, to fade your color. Semi permanent color lives on the outside of your cuticle, therefore shampooing your hair is the easiest way to help fade it. A clarifying shampoo will provide the deepest cleanse to help fade color.

It is not recommended to dilute the color with conditioner because our color is already so conditioning. This can lead to uneven results or not enough of the color pigment taking to your hair, which will make it fade faster.

Although our colors are super pigmented, it will not show up on black hair. On dark brown hair, the color could leave your hair with a tint that is only noticeable in sunlight but we can not guarantee vivid results.

XMONDO Color is a conditioning hair treatment that you can leave it on for as long as you would like without causing damage to your hair. If you are going to leave it on for longer than 20 minutes, we would recommend using a processing cap to keep the moisture in your hair and avoid the product drying out.

XMONDO Color is semi permanent and does fade with washing. Results will vary between people based on a number of factors such as:

• Starting hair level: bleached hair retains color longer than unprocessed hair
• Hair porosity: extremely porous hair may require additional color applications
• The shampoo you use: make sure to use a sulfate & paraben free, color saving shampoo and conditioner like Polychrome Color Extending Shampoo and Conditioner
• How often you shampoo: shampooing is the leading cause of color fading, try to extend the time between washes by using dry shampoo
• Air dry versus blow dry: blow drying your hair after washing will help seal in color molecules
• Sun/water exposure: the sun and water fade color so try to limit exposure
• Type of styling products you use: try to avoid high alcohol content products that can cause color fading, such as hairsprays and quick dry products
• Styling with high temperatures (irons): extremely high heat can cause color fading. Try to keep the heat at a lower temperature and always use a heat protectant

Another big factor is the starting health of your hair prior to coloring with XMONDO. The more dry or damaged your hair is the more the color will take because of the cuticle being more open than healthy hair.

Due to the several factors listed above we cannot give you a specific time frame on how long your color will last.

Typically one jar covers 1-2 applications on the average head of hair. If you have very thick or long hair, you may need more than one jar.
