I noticed my virgin roots didn't take the deposit of color but, that's expected because my hair hates color unless professionally treated...the rest of my head is a beautiful dark brunette color. Exactly what I was looking for. the mask itself left my hair softer than Overtone. I noticed less residue than Overtone (nothing transferred to my pillow the night of dying it, and my towel was barely dyed. once the towel was washed it erased all evidence of dying my hair unlike overtone, I have towels stained and pillow cases stained by Overtone)...this is my new go too, I'm excited to continue using and hope this color never goes out stock... 10/10 product! Highly recommend, not only for hair color but for hair health <3 I have thick course hair like a horse mane for reference, my hair is down to my waist and I used about 1/3-1/2 cup of product and expect one jar to last 3ish months for I only wash my hair 1-2 week. I also use It's A 10 on wash days, and orchid oil for my ends occasionally now because this depositing mask has been so hydrating.

I use this Slate Grey color on my grey patch and either the many purple colors Brad has or recently I decided to remove my purple and go brown again, except for the front grey patch.
