Supernova Foam FAQs
Will this product lighten my hair?
No, Supernova will not lighten your hair. It deposits violet pigments to neutralize yellow or brassy tones, helping your hair appear cooler, but it will not lift or permanently alter your hair color.
What’s the difference between all of the Supernova products?
Shampoo & Conditioner: Cleanse and hydrate while toning for everyday use.
Mask: A deep conditioning treatment that tones and nourishes.
Foam: A leave-in styler that tones, repairs, and preps the hair for styling.
Can I use all of these products together?
Yes, the Supernova products are designed to work together for maximum toning benefits. For best results, use the Shampoo + Conditioner 1–3 times per week for regular maintenance, the Mask once a week for deeper toning and hydration, and the Foam as needed for instant toning, repair, and lightweight styling.
Will this overtone my hair or turn it purple?
If your hair is very light or porous, overuse may leave a temporary purple cast. To avoid this, start with less frequent use and adjust as needed.
How often should I use it?
1–3 times a week depending on your level of brassiness and desired tone. You can adjust usage based on how your hair responds. If you’re using it in combination with other Supernova products, we recommend using it as needed for instant toning, repair, and lightweight styling.
What color hair does this work on?
Supernova is ideal for blonde, platinum, silver, and grey hair. It can also tone brassy highlights or balayage.
Does this replace a salon toner?
No, it doesn’t replace a salon toner but helps maintain the tone between salon visits. It’s a great maintenance product, not a chemical toner.
What does this foam do differently than the rinse-out products?
It tones and repairs while also acting as a lightweight styler, prepping your hair for air drying or heat styling.
Can I use this with heat tools?
Yes, it’s designed to be used before styling and can help protect hair when used with a heat protectant.
Will this make my hair crunchy or sticky?
No, the foam is lightweight and designed to style without stiffness or residue. It does have some holding properties as it’s a styling product. If you’re blow-drying, the hold will soften as it dries, leaving hair touchable and smooth. If you’re air-drying, just scrunch or brush your hair after it’s dry.
