Removing red color depositing mask

  • Hi, I have used your amber color depositing mask. On virgin brown hair. I used it twice, and it has been awhile. It has faded nicely but there are still very red and orangey tones in my hair and it looks a different color then my roots. I have tried clairfiying shampoo and some color removers. Do you have any tips on how to get it out? I would like to transition back to my natural color or potentially in a couple months get highlights.

  • Hi Beautiful 💛 I’d be happy to share some tips to help remove any leftover color and get you back to your natural shade!

Since you’ve already tried some color removers, I recommend one specifically designed for semi-permanent color, like Malibu CPR. Some removers aren’t formulated to fully lift vibrant shades, so using one targeted for that purpose can make a difference.

To neutralize those orangey-red tones and blend with your natural, try Super Gloss 7A, 5N, or a demi-permanent color with a green base. And if you’re planning to get highlights, bleach will lift out most of that warmth during the process.

If you’d like a custom recommendation, feel free to email us at Support@xmondohair.com with some photos—we’d love to help you create the perfect plan! 💕
