Hi! Long time follower/lurker. I've been watching your tutorials for a while, but have never had the confidence to fully execute any to my hair.
However, the cost of going to the stylist to keep up on any hair is becoming evermore expensive. I work from home, and have a lot of freedom with my hair color that I didn't have in the past, so I would like to start doing fun colors with my hair.
The issue I have is that my hair is weird. I started going grey/silver at 20, now im mostly gray/silver, with some dark brown on the bottom layers. I also have 3 different textures in my hair, ranging from straight to curly depending on the layer. My previous stylist doubted me until she started working on my hair.
I hear that dying gray hair can be particularly difficult, and I'm particularly nervous being of the varying hair textures. And I'm not quite sure where to start with it, or if I should entertain trying to bleach the dark brown bits prior to adding fun colors. Is my mission futile? Or can you offer any advice?
