Hi Beautiful! 💜
First off, you’ve clearly been putting in the work to get your gray back, and we totally feel your frustration - it’s no easy feat, especially when unexpected tones pop up!
That orange tone likely came from the color remover you used - many contain bleach or other lightening agents, which can lift out color unevenly and expose warm undertones like orange. Totally understandable, especially when working over previous dye.
To really knock out that leftover orange and get back to your gorgeous salt & pepper, you might want to do a gentle bleach wash (bleach + shampoo + 10 or 20 vol developer). This won’t lift as aggressively as a full bleach and can help even out the color to more of a yellow base, which is easier to tone.
Once you’re there, use our Supernova Blonde Toning Shampoo and follow it up with the Platinum 5 Minute Top Coat to neutralize those warm tones and bring you closer to that cool, silver-gray tone you’re aiming for! 💫
You’re on the right path, and we’re cheering you on every step of the way! Can’t wait for you to feel like yourself again. 💜✨
