So my hair is bright copper. I usually mix the xmondo naturals line copper with super orange for my everyday color. I wanted to try the foxtail trend and of course it turned out like crap (my fault not the color) i used xmondo black and it looked too greenish blue over the orange for my taste and I did too big sections on my bangs. I used the Oops color remover which I've used countless times but it just took out some of the color and is now brighter blue. How can I get this back to my orange/copper without bleaching?

Hi Beautiful! 🧡 Your copper mix sounds gorgeous - and even though the foxtail didn’t land the way you hoped, it’s totally fixable (we’ve all been there 😅).
The greenish-blue cast happened because our Black has cool undertones that pull blue over orange. And since Color Oops targets oxidative dyes, it doesn’t fully remove semi-permanent direct dyes like XMONDO Color.
Here's how to fix it without full bleach:
- Use a color remover for direct dyes with Vitamin C (like Malibu CPR).
- Keep fading with clarifying shampoo or a baking soda mix (1–2x max).
- Once it’s faded enough, reapply your color using more Super Orange than Copper. This will help keep the tone vibrant and not too brown.
- Orange cancels out blue, so any leftover cool tones will be neutralized with the right warm mix.
If needed, a bleach wash (bleach + shampoo + 20 vol developer) is a gentler lift than full bleach.
Always strand test first to check how the new mix reacts over the faded blue.
You’ve got this - and your copper is definitely coming back strong! 🍊✨ Let us know if you want help tweaking the formula!

I get what you’re saying, because a lot of companies talk a big and then internally they’re still juggling spreadsheets and half-finished integrations. But if you look at what’s being discussed in the industry right now, especially in articles like this one —
